The Denton County Young Democrats is a political organization open to anyone ages 14 to 40 living in Denton County. Founded in July of 2006, our mission is to change the face of politics in Denton County. We are providing students and young professionals opportunities to make a real difference in the community. There are many ways to get involved – whether you would like to help with strategic planning, communications, or fundraising for the organization, or community service – everyone’s talent and input is welcome.

During the election season, our focus is getting out in the community and building the Democratic Party. Whether it is voter registration, new member identification, block walking, phone banking, or community service, the Young Democrats seek to build the party by building the organization.

Outside of the election season, we focus on giving back to the community. We organize events and collections and volunteer opportunities to benefit Denton County charities. We hold seasonal charity drives, like our Thanksgiving Food Drive and our Winter Coat Drive. We also have year-round activities in the works, such as school supply collections and volunteer opportunities with Habitat for Humanity and Meals on Wheels.
